Minority Faculty & Student Partnership
The Minority Faculty-Student Partnership (MFSP) Traineeships in Biotechnology was a program of NIH and the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences, Inc. It aimed to address the under-representation of minorities in research science, biotechnology and medical careers. Designed to encourage and enhance education and workforce development in these areas, the program provided training in the latest principles and techniques in biotechnology for minority faculty and students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Indian Tribal Colleges or Universities (ITCUs).
In 2012, for the sixth consecutive year,
Charity Navigator awarded a coveted 4-star rating to the Foundation for the NIH.
The Chronicle of Philanthropy named the
Foundation for the NIH one of its top 400 charities in 2012, for the sixth year in a row.
