The Claudio and Evelyne Cohen Garden at the Safra Lodge
Families of patients with serious illness endure great stress in caring for and supporting their loved one undergoing care at the NIH Clinical Center. The Claudio and Evelyne Cohen Garden at the Edmond J. Safra Family Lodge was designed to alleviate some of this stress. Dedicated to the memory of Raphael Cohen, the serene space features sculptures, quiet walking paths, a spacious patio and private seating areas. Support for the gardens was also provided by the Carl Brenner Memorial Fund, which made possible the Carl Brenner Orchard, and Madison Cox Design. Ruppert Nurseries contributed plantings.
