Support Fellowships, Scholarships & Training

Through our fellowship, scholarship and training programs, you have the ability to boost the careers of our brightest and most promising researchers. Breakthroughs in medical science, after all, are ultimately achieved not by technologies, machines or substances, but by human insight. Our programs work to ensure that we maintain a robust community of cutting-edge doctors and scientists now and in the future.

Through awards, lectures, travel funds, fellowships, scholarships, internships, and training projects, we offer high school, undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to study and conduct research at the world’s foremost biomedical research institution -- the National Institutes of Health. Research areas currently supported include:  biomedicine, biomedical engineering, clinical research, cancer research, complementary and alternative medicine, neuroscience, pain and palliative care, virology, renal cell cancer, and vision research.
