The Claudio and Evelyne Cohen Garden

Through an additional special gift to the Foundation for the NIH made by Mrs. Lily Safra, landscaping associated with The Edmond J. Safra Family Lodge will offer visitors a myriad of garden experiences.
A peaceful, tranquil venue will provide guests with a place of rest and refuge from their day-to-day concerns in an English-park-like setting reminiscent of the lodge’s architecture.
A garden path will meander along the perimeter of the lodge’s property, from which a number of smaller pathways will lead to more intimate seating areas, each to be distinctively treated with plantings, sculpture, gazebosand a water feature. Benches will be found throughout the Lodge’s exterior, offering guests multiple areas for conversation and reflection.
The healing garden is named for Claudio and Evelyne Cohen and dedicated to the memory of Ralphael Cohen.
The garden was designed by Madison Cox of Madison Cox Design, Inc. Construction of the garden by Ruppert Nurseries was completed on May 25, 2005.
