Kim on Twitter!

by Kimberly O’Sullivan
Former Communications Officer
Foundation for the National Institutes of Health
I’m a huge fan of Twitter. I use my personal Twitter feed as a way to “talk to myself.” I use Twitter as a way to record “important” milestones in my life such as when I turn my furnace on for the first time. I find the health feeds I follow quite helpful and informative and they help me make better choices.
Professionally I like how Twitter educates people quickly and simply. It’s pithy and it’s a great communication tool to get our name @FNIH_Org out there to a mass audience. Did you know that @FNIH_Org is involved in #Alzheimer’s research, a groundbreaking #breastcancer clinical trial, and even a program sponsored by #DietCoke? Check out these hash tags to learn more.
What Twitter feeds do you think @FNIH_Org needs to check out? What topic would you like our next @FNIH_Org sponsored Twitter Chat to be about? Email me at info [at] fnih [dot] org and, better yet, follow us on Twitter!
