The goal of the Biotechnology Resource for Innovation and Development in Genomedicine (BRIDGE) is to develop a consortium with a goal of moving RNAi-based anti-cancer therapeutic agents from gene discovery through human clinical trials in less than five years. The consortium will identify aberrant genes and use RNAi to validate the targets, deploy them quickly into trials to assess promise as therapies, and use the detailed molecular characterization of the responsive tumors to develop diagnostic markers for patient stratification.
