Over sixty laboratories at the NIH and FDA were involved in glycosciences research. The goal of this annual meeting was to highlight and disseminate information on the extensive amount of cutting edge research in the glycosciences so that collaborations can be built between laboratories. This meeting provided a venue for researchers to present their findings, exchange ideas, and build collaborations.  This conference included researchers from across the NIH institutes and the FDA, as well as local universities including Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, and the Maryland Universities.
