2012 marked the 50th anniversary of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS). To commemorate this milestone, the Institute sponsored a half-day scientific symposium in the Natcher Conference Center on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
