The Collaborative Summit on Breast Cancer Research
The Collaborative Summit on Breast Cancer Research defined new research-funding paradigms in the fight against breast cancer.
The summit brought together more than 100 participants, including leadership and senior staff from 27 breast cancer-funding organizations, advocacy groups, experts from government agencies, scientists from academic institutions, and researchers from the pharmaceutical industry.
The event took place at the Landsdowne Resort, November 1-2, 2007, in Leesburg, VA, outside of Washington D.C.
Guest speakers included Paula Zahn, CNN; Nancy Brinker, Founder, Susan G. Komen for the Cure; and The Honorable John Edward Porter, Vice Chairman of the Board, Foundation for NIH.
