Ann Ashby, M.B.A.
Prior to joining the Foundation for the NIH Ms. Ashby worked in academic medicine for 19 years, serving in a number of roles that included Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration and Assistant Dean for Strategic Planning at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Departments of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland Health System and University of Pennsylvania Health System, respectively.
She also worked for a number of years as Treasurer and Vice President for Finance for Triad Investors, a Baltimore, Maryland venture capital and technology transfer company.
Prior to moving to Baltimore, Ms. Ashby spent 10 years in executive level positions in higher education finance, administration and strategic planning at the University of North Florida and at the Florida Community College at Jacksonville.
Ms. Ashby has a BA degree in Political Science and a Masters in Business Administration. She lives with her husband in the Washington, DC area and has a grown son in Baltimore, Maryland.
